It’s been a crazy week! I’m not sure where the hours or days have gone and the ‘To do’ list is like the bag Mary Poppins had, no matter what I tick off the list the work just keeps coming!
The good news is I am loving every minute of it, even if it means being up at 6am!
(thank you coffee)
This weekend I am on the second module of an NLP course. Whilst I have been coaching for a long time I haven’t officially trained in this method of coaching. I am absolutely loving it and I am soaking up all the different methodologies and new techniques I can use during sessions.
NLP looks at how your brain, your language and your behaviour are all connected.
What you think
What you say
What you do
During this training course I am noticing that I have been using many of the techniques over the years. If you have heard me tell my story you will know that I talk about several turning points and they all have a theme.
To change the situation, I was in, I had to change what I was doing.
I had to change the way I thought, I had to change the conversation I was having with myself, and other people, and I had to change my behaviour.
Some situations changed very quickly, others took a little longer but if you compare how I think, speak and behave now, to how I did then, there are very few similarities.
I didn’t want to stay where I was.
The life I was living did not make me happy, I wasn’t living or thriving I was just surviving each day.
Small steps and changes have got me where I am now.
Just one small step after another
Each small step brought me closer to what I wanted to achieve.
What small step will you be taking today?
