Live with purpose.
To live with purpose means that we consciously make our move and take action with a sense of purpose.
Begin with working out your ‘why’. What is important to you?
What is your reason for being?
What do you want from life; and what do you want to contribute to life?
When we begin with our why we can then focus our attention on ‘what’ and ‘how’. Our purpose will align with our values. It ensures that we live in a way that meets our psychological and emotional needs as well as a life of fulfilment.
Living a life of purpose means that our actions will be purposeful. We move forward with purpose, we act with purpose, we make decisions that are in alignment with our values and purpose.
Living with purpose helps us to be present. We make conscious decisions based on the here and now. We make decisions based on logic and rationale rather than on our unconscious learned responses.
We use purpose and values to inform our decision making rather than our past or the beliefs that we have held in the past that may no longer be useful to us.
Ask yourself ‘why’ you are doing it, for what purpose?
