What stands between you and the life you want to live?
What is holding you down and stopping you from rising?
Often when I ask this question, the response I get is simple;
‘Me’
How can you hold yourself back from what you want more than anything?
Why do we stand in our own way?
'Fear'
Fear of change.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of losing control.
Is your fear bigger than the fear of losing yourself?
When we lose our way, we can often lose our sense of self.
We live out of alignment with our values, we try to meet our physiological and psychological needs in a way that is not healthy for us.
We put other people before us and making ourselves a priority slips further down the list as we focus our attention and energy anywhere else than on ourselves.
To get out of your own way you need to step into yourself.
Start from within, start with you.
Reconnect with yourself. Start by asking yourself the following questions.
Who am I?
Who do I want to be?
What is important to me?
Who is important to me?
What do I give to others that is of value?
What do I receive from others that is of value?
What in life brings me happiness and fulfilment?
What is my purpose, my reason to be?
Start by taking some time to think about each question.
Then take some time to write down your answers.
Where are you now?
Where do you want to be?
What steps do you need to get there?
Reconnect with you. Stand in the power of you.
Be proud of who you are now and who you have the potential to become.
Own that person and empower yourself to rise.
